The key processes and applications of the highway anti-glare panel forming machine
February 14,2025

On the central divider of the expressway, the anti-glare panels are an essential safety facility. They can effectively block the direct glare from the headlights of oncoming vehicles, reducing safety risks during night driving. The size, stiffness and surface quality of the anti-glare panels impose higher requirements on the equipment.

1. Plate thickness and stability
The anti-glare panels usually use 1.5–2.0mm galvanized steel plates. They need to ensure rigidity while avoiding excessive weight that may affect the installation efficiency. The forming machine adopts progressive bending in the roller design to reduce the stretching and creasing of the thin plates and ensure the surface flatness.

2. Grooves and Installation Holes
The anti-glare panel needs to be fitted into the groove of the column. The accuracy of the installation hole position directly affects the assembly speed. The equipment is controlled by in-mold punching + servo feeding, and the hole spacing error can be controlled within ±0.3mm. This high precision ensures that there is no need for secondary hole drilling at the construction site, and the installation can be directly carried out.

3. Surface Protection Treatment
The working environment of the anti-glare board is constantly exposed to sunlight, rain, and snow. To prevent reflection and corrosion, the equipment supports the inclusion of surface treatment processes before and after forming:
Coating roller: To avoid scratching the galvanized layer during the forming process;
Online degreasing/dust removal interface: Facilitates the smooth progress of subsequent spraying processes;
Spray compatibility: The surface roughness is controlled within a reasonable range to enhance the adhesion of the coating.

4. Finished Product Inspection
The qualified anti-glare panels must have a bending resistance of ≥ 1500N. The on-line inspection equipment provided with the equipment can conduct bending strength tests on the formed products through random sampling, ensuring that the batch products meet the highway standards.

Conclusion
Although the anti-glare panels are small in size, they play a crucial role in night driving. Through the control of thickness, hole punching accuracy, surface protection and strength testing, the anti-glare panel forming machine transforms the details into safety guarantees, providing a more reliable safety barrier for highways.
